Flying format
Two rounds per class consisting of 1 flight of set manoeuvres and 1 flight of Freestyle. The scores are zeroed and the 5x Finalists from each class fly their Set Manoeuvres and Freestyle rounds again to ascertain their final positions.
Judging 5 judges to be used for all classes Each judge is a pilot from the same class where available as is being flown. As 1 round is flown 1 judge is removed from the panel and replaced by the another Pilot who has completed his round. Sets.
All classes fly 5 Manoeuvres as core manoeuvres.
Intermediates/Expert to choose five manoeuvres AND one additional ‘Wildcard’ manoeuvre. This Wildcard can be used to replace any 1 of the five core manoeuvres. This will allow for weather conditions and a choice on the day!
Technical Each manoeuvre is to have a clearly defined entry and exit. Manoeuvres are to be centrally positioned in front of the Pilot/Judges and show good symmetry. Pilots are required to demonstrate good speed and height control throughout. Rotational speeds to remain consistent in all directions throughout each individual manoeuvre. This will apply to all Axes, i.e. tumbling, rolling and rotational (piro). Overall appearance. Note:- Repeat turnarounds and unnecessary flying around will attract a downgrade. Freestyle
